Featuring Al Black
of the Original Florida Highwaymen!
The Florida Highwaymen, 26 African-American artists, painted the uninhabited Florida landscape starting in the early 1950's. They are well known for their bright colored Florida landscapes sold up and down I-95 and US1, hence their name. Stars North is producing a movie to tell the incredible and inspiring story of the highwaymen. You can view the trailer Al Black, one of the original 26, stepped into The Framery leaving behind an autographed painting and calendars featuring paintings from other highwaymen as well as himself.
